On July 7, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon arrived in Sughd Region on a working visit. He plans to inspect living conditions and the progress of improvement and construction work, open a number of various facilities, and hold meetings and discussions with residents. This was reported by the presidential press service.
The head of state's working trip began with a visit to the Ayni District. The first site was an antimony production facility at TALCO Gold, a closed joint-stock company, which was commissioned with the president's participation.
As reported to the head of state, the plant is equipped with modern production technologies. Its annual capacity allows it to process up to 5,000 tons of raw materials and produce metallic antimony.

The commissioning of the new production facility is crucial for the efficient use of Tajikistan's mineral resources, increasing industrial production, enhancing export potential, developing domestic manufacturing, and creating new jobs.
TALCO Gold, a closed joint-stock company, was established to develop the Kanchoch gold-antimony deposit. The company operates using modern technologies and digital process control systems.
The deposit's reserves are estimated at over 23 million tons of ore. It also contains approximately 50 tons of gold and over 265,000 tons of antimony. The deposit is considered one of the largest in the region.

As a result of the gradual expansion of production capacity, the company's output continues to grow. In 2026, production is planned to reach 1 billion 539 million somoni.
During a tour of the plant's production capabilities, Emomali Rahmon was informed that cutting-edge production technologies have been implemented as part of the project. The plant places particular emphasis on environmental compliance, efficient use of natural resources, and ensuring the safety of the production process.
The President praised the quality of the work performed. He noted that the country's accelerated industrialization, as defined by the fourth strategic goal of the Tajik government, is being realized, in part, through the construction of such manufacturing facilities.

According to the head of state, the deep processing of domestic raw materials, the production of competitive products, the expansion of export potential, and the creation of new jobs play a key role in this process.
The President was also informed that after the plant is put into operation, 200 local residents will be provided with permanent jobs.
During a conversation with the company's management and employees, Emomali Rahmon addressed environmental issues. The President emphasized the need for a careful and responsible approach to the unique natural beauty of this area.

The head of state also laid the foundation stone for another metallurgical plant on the company's premises. Its annual production capacity will be two tons of gold.
As reported, the new plant is planned to be commissioned by August 2027.
Emomali Rahmon also ordered the complete paving of a 32-kilometer stretch of road from the highway to the TALCO Gold antimony production facility and the Iskanderkul tourist zone. The work is expected to be completed by September 2027.
