The Armed Forces of Kazakhstan have launched a pilot project, Voenmart, which will allow conscripts to order food and essential goods for delivery directly to their military units.
The service initially launched in several military units in the Almaty region and Astana. Special terminals and tablets have been installed at the units to allow service members to select the necessary goods.
According to the Kazakh Ministry of Defense, the service's assortment includes personal hygiene products, sewing supplies, fruits, juices, baked goods, snacks, and other everyday goods.
The project also includes the option to order ready-made hot meals. Service members will be able to purchase burgers, pizza, baked goods, and other dishes, which will be delivered hot directly to their military units.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that delivery for military personnel is free. Soldiers only need to pay for the goods and products they order.
Following the pilot project, the Kazakh Ministry of Defense will consider expanding the service and introducing it to other military units in the country.
