On June 20, during a working visit to the Khovaling district, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon visited the village of Shekhmizon, where he opened a sanatorium for orphans and the disabled. This was reported by the press service of the Tajik president.
The social institution was built by local entrepreneurs, the Karimov and Odinaev families, in honor of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The sanatorium building includes 20 bedrooms, utility rooms, equipped rooms for teaching sewing, carpentry and drawing skills, a conference room, a library, a medical office, showers and a warehouse for storing products.

The sanatorium grounds also include two swimming pools, soccer and volleyball courts, and a children's playground. Necessary facilities have been created for the recreation, education, and leisure of orphans and children with disabilities. A greenhouse has also been installed on the 40-hectare property.
The new social institution provides permanent employment for 30 local residents.
As noted, the construction of such a facility is an example of the implementation of the social policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and is aimed at creating favorable conditions for improving the quality of life, education, upbringing, care, and recreation of orphans and persons with disabilities.

Emomali Rahmon inspected the newly created conditions and praised the initiative of local entrepreneurs, as well as the level and quality of the construction work completed.
The sanatorium's responsible officials were given recommendations on ensuring high-quality service, creating appropriate conditions for education, ensuring comprehensive care and showing constant concern for orphans and the disabled.
It was also emphasized that it is necessary to ensure the correct and effective use of this modern facility in cooperation with local and national educational authorities.
