The Tajikistan Men's and Women's Chess Championship concluded in Dushanbe. The tournament, held from May 2 to 5 at the Hyatt Regency Dushanbe, brought together 72 participants from across the country, including 23 women.
Following the competition, Amin Kabilov took first place with 6.5 points out of a possible 8. Second place went to former champion Alisher Karimov, who finished half a point behind. Third place went to Orash Shonazarov with 6 points. With the scores tied, tiebreakers determined fourth place for reigning champion Kubot Maksudshoev of Dushanbe, and fifth place for Pairav Kodiri.



In the women's portion of the tournament, Marvori Nasriddinzoda and Dilola Tolibova tied for first place, but tiebreakers awarded Nasriddinzoda the victory. Tolibova finished second, and Shokhsanam Dzhumaeva took third.



Amin Kabilov won the men's rapid chess competition, with Jamshed Isaev taking second and Orash Shonazarov third. Nadezhda Antonova took first place in the women's rapid chess competition, with Marvori Nasriddinzoda coming in second and Nozanin Makhmudova third.



Alisher Karimov won the men's blitz, with Said Milod Mousavi taking second and Payrav Kodiri third. In the women's category, Rukhshona Saidova won gold, Shukrona Maskhabova won silver, and Dilola Tolibova won bronze.
The tournament demonstrated the high level of preparation of the participants and the potential for chess development in the country.
