From March 19 to 28, cultural programs dedicated to the International Holiday of Navruz will be held in Dushanbe's parks and recreation areas. The Dushanbe Mayor's Office's Information Department informed NIAT Khovar.
It is reported that on March 19 at 10:00 a.m., festive cultural programs will be held in the Firdavsi Culture and Recreation Park in the Firdavsi district and in the Khayyam Culture and Recreation Park in the Sino district.
Festive events will be held on March 22 at 5:00 PM in Firdavsi Park, Sadriddin Aini Park, the Sino Street square, Kuli Javonon Park, and Qurushi Kabir Park. On the same day, the International Tourism Festival "Navruz – Cultural and Tourist Heritage of the World – 2026" will be held in Iram Park from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
It is reported that on March 23 at 5:00 pm, events dedicated to the Navruz holiday will be held in Firdavsi Park, Sadriddin Aini Park, the area on Sino Street, Kuli Javonon Park, and Kurushi Kabir Park.
On March 24 at 9:00 AM, a cultural program will take place at the 800th Anniversary of Moscow Square. On the same day, starting at 5:00 PM, festive events will be held at Firdavsi Park, Sadriddin Aini Park, the Sino Street square, Kuli Javonon Park, and Qurushi Kabir Park.
On March 25 at 5:00 PM, the aforementioned parks will host Nowruz-themed festive programs. Also on March 26, 27, and 28 at 5:00 PM, these same parks will host Nowruz-themed celebrations and cultural events.
It is noted that during these days, artistic and entertainment events, as well as public walks and excursions dedicated to the International Holiday of Navruz, will be held with the participation of artists and residents of the capital's districts.
With the arrival of spring, Tajik people are reportedly beginning preparations for the traditional ancestors' festival. Most cities, districts, and educational and cultural institutions across the country are hosting festive programs during these days.
In anticipation of the festive celebration of International Navruz, Dushanbe's squares, avenues, and cultural and recreation parks have been decorated. Flowers and shade trees have been planted, and decorative elements symbolizing spring and Navruz have been installed. Residents and visitors to the capital are visiting the parks daily.
It is emphasized that the Tajik people have preserved the Navruz holiday for centuries, alongside their native language, and view it as an integral part of their national identity and spiritual culture. With the arrival of this holiday, joy and happiness fill homes, and farmers begin sowing.
