The added value of output at China's leading industrial enterprises grew by 5.9 percent year-on-year in 2025, according to official data released Monday.
In particular, in December of last year, the added value of the products of the above-mentioned enterprises in the country increased by 5.2 percent year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
Industrial production added value in China is used to measure the production activity of leading industrial enterprises with annual revenue from core business activities of 20 million yuan (approximately US$2.8 million) and above.
According to the agency, last year, added value created by mining companies increased by 5.6 percent year-on-year, while in manufacturing it grew by 6.4 percent. Meanwhile, in the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply sector, this figure increased by 2.3 percent.
