On December 17, 2025, a working meeting of the leadership of the Football Federation of Tajikistan (FFT) with representatives of the country's youth teams and private football schools was held in Dushanbe, the Federation's press service reported.
The main topic of the meeting was a discussion of the criteria for opening and operating private football schools, as well as issues of improving the quality of training for young football players.
The event was attended by the vice presidents of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, Alisher Urunov and Iskandar Jalilov, as well as the director of the Children's and Youth Football League of Tajikistan, Abdullo Sokiyev.



During the meeting, it was noted that the development of youth football is one of the FFT's priorities. Particular attention was paid to the need to implement uniform standards and requirements for all football schools, regardless of ownership.
The FFT leadership explained in detail the main criteria for opening football schools and academies, including:
availability of state registration;
– appropriate infrastructure and safe conditions for the training process;
– qualified coaching staff with valid licenses;
– approved educational, training and methodological programs;
– medical care and protection of children's rights;
– mandatory participation in competitions under the auspices of the FFT and the Children's and Youth Football League of Tajikistan.
It was specifically emphasized that the activities of private football schools will be under the constant control of the FFT, and the licensing and monitoring process will be systematic and transparent.
During the discussion, representatives of football schools asked questions, made suggestions, and identified existing problems. The FFT leadership confirmed its readiness for open dialogue and further constructive collaboration with the private sector to develop football.
Following the meeting, it was noted that similar meetings will be held on a regular basis, and all football schools must bring their activities into compliance with the current regulations and standards of the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
The Football Federation of Tajikistan will continue to work on developing a unified and effective system for training young footballers, aimed at developing youth football and developing reserves for national teams.
