A delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, led by the head of the department, Ramazon Rahimzoda, is on an official visit to Belarus, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reported.
Belarusian Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov emphasized that maintaining law and order is the foundation for the development of all key sectors, including the economy. "I thank you for your constructive cooperation in the fight against crime. Our joint efforts are already yielding concrete results. We are ready to share our experience in organizing the work of the State Traffic Inspectorate. We have significant experience combating organized crime and drug trafficking. We are particularly interested in studying the work of your special forces units in border areas," he emphasized.
Ramazon Rahimzoda noted that Ivan Kubrakov's personal visit to Tajikistan served as a catalyst for developing cooperation, particularly in the area of criminal investigation. "We are impressed by the technical solutions our Belarusian colleagues use in their daily work. We are interested in Belarus's experience in combating cybercrime and organizing the work of various units with UAVs. Drug and arms trafficking remain a pressing issue. Sharing best practices in these areas will be mutually beneficial," the minister said.
The parties outlined new areas of cooperation, including training Tajik colleagues at Belarusian departmental universities and conducting joint exercises in both countries.
At the Department of Security, the delegation visited the Republican Center for Monitoring, Management, and Information Security, where guests were shown the operation of integrated systems in real time. A demonstration by dog handlers received high praise. The Tajik police leadership also visited the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, including the State Traffic Inspectorate. The guests inspected the units' facilities and learned about their operational organization.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the further development and expansion of bilateral cooperation in the areas of human rights protection, security, and the fight against transnational organized crime.
