The Tajikistan Children's and Youth Chess Teams have qualified for one of the continent's most prestigious tournaments, the Asian Cadet and Junior Championships, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 20 to 30, 2025. This was announced by the press service of the Tajikistan Chess Federation.
The national team includes the country's strongest young chess players, who have demonstrated consistent results in national and international competitions. Among them are representatives of the following age categories:
• U08 — Saifiyev Murodali
• U10 – Shamsov Akhmad
• U12 – Muminov Imron
• U14 – Voskolovich Bogdan
• U16 – Gafurov Nazar
• G16 – Makhmudova Nozanin
• U18 – Ilhomi Jaloliddin
Each participant underwent rigorous selection and preparation to represent Tajikistan on the Asian stage.
The team includes young talents who are considered the future of Tajik chess. The leader of the junior team is International Master Ilkhomi Jaloliddin, one of the most promising players in the country.
The Asian Championship traditionally brings together the strongest young chess players from more than 20 countries. The tournament features classical, rapid, and blitz chess, giving participants the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a variety of formats.
The Tajikistan Chess Federation is confident that the athletes will demonstrate impressive results, gain valuable international experience, and continue to strengthen the country's position on the Asian chess map.
