Tajik athlete Shahrom Makhmurodov won a gold medal at the World Youth Jiu-Jitsu Championships, which took place in Bangkok, Thailand, VarzishTV reported .
The World Championships brought together 1,400 athletes from 54 countries and became one of the most spectacular sporting events of the year. In the 62-kilogram weight class, Makhmurodov fought eight intense bouts across two weight classes and managed to win the gold medal.
The victory allowed him to become world champion for the fourth time. Furthermore, Shahrom Makhmurodov is the first Tajik athlete to achieve this result in the "Ne Waza" category, making his achievement particularly significant for the national sport.
