President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the credentials of a group of new foreign ambassadors at the Palace of the Nation, according to the presidential press service.
During the ceremony, credentials were presented by Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Guo Zhijun, the European Union Radoslav Darski, the Kingdom of Denmark Jesper Vahr, the Hellenic Republic Ekaterini Xagorari, the Republic of Estonia Jaap Ora, Georgia David Kotaria, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Hamza Al-Umari, Burkina Faso Aristide Rapugdonba Ludovic, the Argentine Republic Sebastian Sayus and the Dominican Republic Alejandro Arias Zarzuela.
The ambassadors presented their credentials to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and conveyed warm messages and greetings from the leadership of their countries.
In his speech, the head of state congratulated the ambassadors on the beginning of their diplomatic tenure in this important position in Tajikistan. The president emphasized that the "open door" principle is the foundation of the country's balanced and peaceful foreign policy. "Based on this, we will establish and expand friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries in various regions of the world," Emomali Rahmon stated.
During the meeting, issues of developing and strengthening friendly relations, as well as multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and the countries whose ambassadors were represented at the ceremony, including the People's Republic of China, the European Union, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Estonia, Georgia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Burkina Faso, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic, were discussed.
Addressing the newly appointed ambassadors, the President emphasized that Tajikistan views continued partnership with their countries as an integral part of its foreign policy and positively views the prospects for cooperation. The head of state expressed hope that the ambassadors' ongoing efforts to develop and strengthen multifaceted relations will yield new fruitful results.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, President Emomali Rahmon wished the new ambassadors success in their diplomatic endeavors and sent warm greetings and messages to the leaders of their countries.
