On November 6, the C5+1 business conference of Central Asian countries and the United States took place in the US capital. This was reported by NIAT Khovar.
The Republic of Tajikistan was represented at the event by heads of several ministries and departments, as well as a group of domestic entrepreneurs.
Before the conference, an exhibition of folk crafts from Central Asian countries was held at the Kennedy Center. The Tajik section featured traditional items, ritual elements, and the cultural and civilizational achievements of the Tajik people.
The business conference was organized by topic. Representatives of Tajikistan's business community emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation with partners in promising sectors, highlighted investment opportunities in the country's economy, and shared experiences in digitalization, artificial intelligence, and the implementation of modern technologies.
In particular, young Tajik scientist Azizjon Azimi noted in his speech the importance of developing cooperation in the field of intellectual property and emphasized the role of artificial intelligence in the modern era.
It was noted that in Tajikistan, with the support of the government, specific measures are being taken to widely implement and effectively use artificial intelligence technologies.
During the conference, participants focused on Tajikistan's natural resources, which serve as a sustainable foundation for the development of entrepreneurship and trade. Promising areas of cooperation were also presented, including harnessing the potential of the mechanical engineering, metallurgy, light industry, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and construction materials industries.
Particular attention was paid to the development of tourism as a promising sector. It was emphasized that mountainous Tajikistan, with its picturesque nature and historical and cultural monuments, offers ample opportunities for the development of mountaineering, ecotourism, and health tourism.
Conference participants noted the importance of further expanding cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and the United States, particularly in the areas of economics, trade, direct investment, science, technology, and digitalization.
