President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Washington on a working visit.
Emomali Rahmon was greeted with special respect and sincerity at Andrews Military Airport in Washington, D.C., by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, Assistant Secretary of State Paul Kapur, U.S. Deputy Chief of Protocol Abby Jones, and other officials, according to the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
The head of state's working visit to Washington is being held at the invitation of US President Donald Trump. As part of the visit, Emomali Rahmon is scheduled to participate in the Central Asia-US summit, as well as several other important events.
At his temporary residence in Washington, Emomali Rahmon was warmly and sincerely greeted by a group of Tajik citizens living in the United States.
