New surgical treatment methods, including laparoscopic hysterectomy and hernia removal, were successfully used for the first time in Penjikent. The surgeries were performed jointly by specialists from the Republican Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery and local doctors, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Thanks to the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques, patient recovery times are significantly reduced. While recovery after traditional open surgeries previously took up to a week, patients with modern minimally invasive procedures are discharged from the hospital within twenty-four hours. Full recovery, which previously took about six months, is now achieved in approximately one month, according to the Ministry of Health press service.
Medical professionals emphasize that such projects contribute to the professional development of specialists, the exchange of experience, and the development of regional medicine. With the introduction of modern surgical treatment methods, residents of Panjakent and the surrounding region now have the opportunity to receive treatment locally, without having to travel to other cities in the country, such as Dushanbe or Khujand.
Experts note that the collaboration between experienced surgeons at the Republican Center for Cardiovascular Surgery and local physicians ensures a high level of medical training and allows for the provision of safe and effective care to patients at a state-of-the-art level.
Thus, the introduction of modern minimally invasive technologies in Penjikent opens up new opportunities for high-quality patient treatment and improves healthcare in the region.
