As part of the implementation of the "Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence through 2040," a new major, "Artificial Intelligence," has been introduced into the curricula of 10 universities in Tajikistan, according to NIAT Khovar.
Moreover, according to the Ministry of Education and Science, more than 750 young specialists in the field of artificial intelligence have already been trained, and the implementation of the strategy has begun in 100 educational institutions across the country.
This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Hakim Khaliqzoda, on October 25 at the international conference on artificial intelligence, AI Conf 2025, held in Dushanbe.
"The introduction of artificial intelligence into the education system is not only an innovative measure but also an important step toward strengthening the intellectual potential of young people and adapting the educational process to modern requirements. This step will enable the next generation to master digital skills and become competitive in the global labor market," noted the First Deputy Prime Minister.
In Tajikistan, with the continued support of President Emomali Rahmon, the artificial intelligence ecosystem is developing rapidly, and the country is becoming an attractive region for collaboration with leading global companies.
