On September 22-23, a dust storm that began in the afternoon of September 21 in the Bokhtar group of districts of the Khatlon region of Tajikistan will affect the cities and districts of the Kulyab zone, districts of republican subordination, the city of Dushanbe, and part of the Sughd region, the Hydrometeorology Agency of the Republic of Tajikistan reports .
A dust storm is moving from the south and southwest and will lead to increased air pollution. Forecasters warn that these conditions are dangerous for people with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions, allergy sufferers, as well as children and the elderly. Headaches, shortness of breath, and dry mucous membranes in the eyes, nose, and throat are possible.
Therefore, citizens are advised to refrain from daytime walks along avenues and streets, especially near major highways and windy areas, as well as from fieldwork and other work that poses a health risk.
