Political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus at the level of deputy foreign ministers were held in Dushanbe. The delegations were led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Farrukh Sharifzoda and Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Pavel Utyupin. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported this on Wednesday.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, focusing on strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and realizing investment potential.
The parties also discussed ways to deepen ties in education, science, and culture. The exchange of views on pressing regional and international issues, including cooperation within international and regional organizations, played a key role in the consultations.
"The parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing close cooperation within the UN, SCO, CIS, CSTO, and other multilateral structures," the Tajik Foreign Ministry noted.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of maintaining regular contacts at various levels to further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
The negotiations, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took place in a constructive and trusting atmosphere.
