Ambassadors of Ukraine, the European Union, Germany, and the United States, diplomats from Azerbaijan, Germany, France, the United States, and Japan, the EU Delegation, the OSCE Mission, and staff from the Embassy of Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian community, took part in the Global Prayer for Ukraine, which is being resounding across the globe today.
Ukrainian Ambassador Valeriy Yevdokimov noted that on the 34th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, its people have been forced to fight for independence for over 11 years, defending their lives, families, freedom, and land from the Russian aggressor. Above all, Ukrainians want to live a normal, peaceful life in their country instead of war, and pray for the health of their families and loved ones.
In this struggle, independence acquired a special value for Ukrainians, which is identified with life, freedom and justice.
Ukrainians in Tajikistan are sincerely grateful to their international partners for their support and to the rector and community of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Dushanbe for the opportunity to pray for peace for the people of Ukraine.
