A three-day training seminar on "Epidemiological surveillance of infectious diseases in emergency situations" was held at the State Institution "Institute of Preventive Medicine of Tajikistan" from June 23 to 25, the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan reported .
The event was organized as part of the implementation of the Healthy Nation of Tajikistan project and is aimed at improving the qualifications of specialists of the country's sanitary and epidemiological service.
Doctors and epidemiologists from state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance centers, primary health care institutions and hospitals in cities and districts of republican subordination took part in the training.
The seminar examined in detail the mechanisms of epidemiological surveillance of such dangerous infections as typhoid fever, botulism, viral hepatitis A, B, C and E, rabies and hemorrhagic fever. Particular attention was paid to issues of sanitary-hygienic and disinfection regimes in infection foci, as well as rapid response and preventive measures.
Qualified trainers and experts shared with the participants their experience in conducting epidemiological monitoring and using modern methods of epidemiological surveillance in emergency situations.
Following the seminar, 41 specialists from the cities and districts of Rudaki, Shakhrinav, Varzob, Faizabad, Gissar, Tursunzade and Vahdat received official certificates of participation.
As the organizers noted, within the framework of the Healthy Nation of Tajikistan project, it is planned to train more than 350 medical workers throughout the country.
