Based on the results of the first half of 2026, Tajikistan has reimbursed 449 million somoni in damages, including funds from previous years' criminal cases, tax arrears, and administrative fines. This was announced today at a press conference by Sulaimon Said Sultonzoda, Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan .
According to him, of the total amount of reimbursed funds , 349.5 million somoni went directly to the state budget, 87.1 million somoni were returned to state-owned enterprises, organizations and institutions, and 12.4 million somoni to non-governmental organizations and citizens.


The Agency noted that compensation for damages was the result of work to investigate corruption and economic offenses, conduct financial audits, collect tax arrears, and enforce decisions in criminal cases.
As Sultonzoda emphasized, work to recover damages to the state and protect public finances continues.
