In the first half of 2026, 567 hectares of land were brought into agricultural use in Tajikistan, while the area of irrigated land increased by 819 hectares. Furthermore, the area of perennial crops increased by 146 hectares, of which 122 hectares are irrigated.
In addition, 173 hectares of fallow land were converted to arable land, and another 128 hectares of pasture were converted to arable land. An additional 23 hectares of pasture were used for perennial crops.
According to the State Committee for Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic of Tajikistan , following the results of the first half of 2026 , the work being carried out is aimed at the rational use of land resources and the expansion of agricultural land.
