In the first half of 2026, the Ismoili Somoni district of Dushanbe exceeded its tax revenue plan and increased local budget revenue. This was announced at a press conference dedicated to the district's socioeconomic development results for the first six months of this year.
As noted by representatives of the district's executive authority, during the reporting period, special attention was paid to fulfilling the requirements of the Constitution and legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, ensuring the rule of law, respecting national values, as well as developing the economy and industry, energy, roads and transport, strengthening law and order, and advancing science and education, youth policy, sports, and tourism. According to the authorities, positive results have been achieved in all these areas.
Based on the results of the first half of the year, the plan for taxes and other mandatory payments was fulfilled by 120.2% . Instead of the planned 667.6 million somoni, the budget received 802.8 million somoni , which is 135.1 million somoni more than the approved plan. Compared to the same period in 2025, revenue increased by 136.9 million somoni .
Local budget revenue also exceeded planned targets. The plan was fulfilled by 115.2% , with revenue amounting to 142.1 million somoni . This is 18.8 million somoni higher than planned and 24.9 million somoni higher than the first half of last year.
Local budget expenditures for the reporting period reached 153.4 million somoni , which corresponds to 100% of the six-month plan. Compared to the same period in 2025, expenditures increased by 32.2 million somoni .
According to the data presented, 10,130 business entities are registered in the district, 573 more than at the beginning of this year. Of these, 2,232 are legal entities, 152 are branches and representative offices, and 7,746 are sole proprietors. Of these , 2,488 operate under a general certificate, 2,241 under a certificate under special conditions, and 3,017 operate under a patent.
The district administration also reported that during the reporting period, all budgetary institutions were fully provided with funding for the timely payment of wages and pensions.
The press conference emphasized that industry remains a key sector of the real economy and is a focus of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. According to the authorities, the further development of industrial production is essential for improving living standards and addressing socioeconomic challenges.
