A unified electronic document management system has been implemented in more than 2,980 central government agencies, subordinate organizations, and local government bodies in Tajikistan, according to the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As the department noted, the system was developed based on best practices from countries in the region and is designed to facilitate the exchange of official correspondence in a paperless format.
Electronic document management is carried out using electronic digital signatures, which ensures the legal validity of electronic documents and accelerates interaction between government agencies.
Currently, 25,300 people are users of the Unified Electronic Document Management System.
The Agency also reported that the system's implementation in regional, city, and district executive authorities is in its final stages. Once this work is completed, electronic document management will be implemented at all levels of the country's executive branch.
