The threat of localized mudflows remains in Tajikistan from July 1 to 3 due to expected precipitation, according to the Tajik Hydrometeorology Agency.
According to the agency, the highest probability of mudflows is predicted in the foothill and mountainous regions of the districts of republican subordination, as well as in the Sughd and Khatlon regions.
Furthermore, from July 2 to 4, deteriorating air quality is expected in cities and districts of the Khatlon Region, Districts of Republican Subordination, and Dushanbe. This is due to meteorological factors, including a dust storm and haze coming from the south and southwest.
According to weather forecasters, during the specified period, an increase in the concentration of suspended dust particles is predicted, including particles up to 10 micrometers (PM10) and up to 2.5 micrometers (PM2.5), which will lead to an increase in the level of air pollution.
Due to adverse weather conditions, citizens are advised to take precautions.
