On June 18, 2026, in Bishkek, as part of the sixth Shanghai Cooperation Organization Energy Ministers' Meeting, Daler Juma visited a solid waste processing plant that generates electricity through waste incineration and met with its management. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the tour, the Tajik delegation was briefed on the plant's operations. It was noted that this facility is the first eco-friendly waste processing facility using incineration technology in Central Asia and is located on the grounds of a landfill in Bishkek.

Company representatives reported that the plant was built with $100 million in investment from Chinese companies. The facility's production capacity allows it to process up to 1,200 tons of household waste per day.
In addition, the plant is capable of generating up to 30 megawatts of electricity, which helps meet the needs of various sectors of the economy and the social sphere.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the implementation of such modern technologies allows us to simultaneously address the challenges of efficient waste management, energy production, and reducing the negative impact on the environment.
The parties also discussed the possibility of establishing bilateral cooperation in the area of using this experience and implementing modern technologies for waste processing and energy production.
