Dushanbe police officers have uncovered two thefts committed in the Sino district, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
The first incident occurred on January 26, 2026, at approximately 8:30 PM at the Paykar shopping center on Borbad Street. A 54-year-old resident of the Hamadoni district filed a report, reporting that unknown individuals had stolen his electric bicycle worth 6,110 somoni and fled the scene. During an investigative investigation, police determined that the theft was committed by a 19-year-old resident of the Vose district.
The second incident occurred on January 18, 2026. A 22-year-old Dushanbe resident reported to police that unknown individuals had secretly entered his apartment and stolen two pairs of gold earrings worth a total of 25,000 somoni, before fleeing the scene. An investigation revealed that the crime was committed by a 19-year-old Dushanbe resident.
An investigation is underway into both incidents, and measures are being taken to fully establish the circumstances of the crimes and bring those responsible to justice in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
