American actor Robert Duvall, who starred in "The Godfather," has died at the age of 95. The Hollywood Reporter reported this on Monday.
According to the publication, the actor died yesterday at his home in Virginia.
Duvall's co-star in The Godfather, Al Pacino, told the AP: "It was an honor to work with Robert Duvall. He was a born actor—his connection to the craft, his understanding, and his phenomenal gift will be forever remembered. I will miss him."
Robert Duvall was born in California and began his theatrical career in the 1950s.
During his long film career, he became famous for his roles in The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, and Apostle.
In 1984, Duvall won an Oscar for Best Actor for his role in Tender Mercies. He also won four Golden Globe Awards.
