Benchmark crude oil continued to hit multi-year highs late Friday as traders worried about the long-term impact of the Middle East conflict on the global fuel market.
The price of May Brent crude oil futures on London's ICE Futures exchange rose by $6.66, or 7.8 percent, to $92.07 per barrel as of 7:54 PM Moscow time.
WTI crude oil futures for April on the New York Mercantile Exchange jumped by $9.08, or 11.21 percent, to $90.09 a barrel.
Brent crude oil prices exceeded $92 per barrel, while WTI crude oil prices rose above $90 per barrel for the first time since April 2024.
Since the start of the week, North Sea crude oil has risen by 25 percent, while North American crude has risen by 30 percent. These are record growth rates since 2020.
