The war between the US, Israel, and Iran has entered its eighth day. Iran launched its first attack on Tel Aviv and its environs using sophisticated missiles and drones.
Iran has reportedly launched the 23rd phase of Operation Waad-e Sadiq 4. As part of this operation, the Iranian army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked Tel Aviv and surrounding areas.
According to available data, Iran used new generations of solid- and liquid-fueled ballistic missiles, including the Kheibar, Khorramshahr-4, and Fattah. Numerous unmanned aerial vehicles were also deployed.
Iranian sources claim that the strikes were directed at military and strategic targets in Israel.
Footage from the region shows a series of powerful explosions in Tel Aviv. Following the explosions, thick smoke filled the sky above the city. Air raid sirens were reportedly heard throughout the city, and residents sought shelter.
Israel's Iron Dome and Arrow air defense systems were activated in response to the attack. However, some rockets managed to penetrate the air defense systems, causing explosions in various parts of the city.
The Fattah hypersonic missile used in the attack attracted particular attention. This missile is reportedly considered one of Iran's most advanced weapons systems, capable of penetrating air defense systems thanks to its high speed and maneuverability.
The use of the Khorramshahr-4 missile, known for its long range and high destructive potential, was also reported. According to Iran, this missile has a range of approximately 2,000 kilometers. Among the systems used were also the Kheibar ballistic missiles, developed by Iran in recent years.
Iran's latest attacks on Tel Aviv and its environs have reportedly sparked claims that tensions in the region continue to escalate. In recent days, following Israeli and US strikes on several military targets in Iran, Tehran's leadership has increased the number of retaliatory operations.
The Israeli army reported that it struck the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' main military university, Imam Hussein University. According to the IDF, the facility was used as a reserve base and assembly point for Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps units.
Strikes were also reported on a missile storage facility and underground infrastructure used to store ballistic missiles.
Throughout the night and morning, the parties to the Middle East conflict continued to exchange strikes. US and Israeli forces reportedly attacked Mehrabad Airport, located in central Tehran. According to reports, a massive fire broke out on the airport grounds.
Iran is also reported to have attacked a building in Bahrain where officers from the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) headquarters were stationed.
The American military base "Victoria", located near Baghdad airport, was also hit.
Explosions were also reportedly heard in Dubai. Some reports indicate an airport was attacked. Authorities reported a minor incident involving the fall of a drone.
Iranian media claim that the Israeli army attempted a helicopter landing in the mountainous area on the Lebanese-Syrian border. According to them, the Israeli troops attempting to land in the Nabi Sheet area were wearing Lebanese army uniforms, but were discovered and surrounded.
Saudi Arabia also reportedly claimed to have intercepted 16 Iranian drones heading towards the Khurais oil field.
According to Fox News, the United States is preparing to send a third carrier strike group, led by the aircraft carrier USS George HW Bush, to the Middle East.
Iran's permanent representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, said that at least 1,332 Iranian civilians have been killed as a result of the fighting so far.
According to him, 13 medical facilities in the country were attacked, and more than 20 schools were damaged.
He also stated that the US and Israel are deliberately targeting civilian targets in Iran.
He said Iran does not seek war or escalation, but has no intention of surrender. He also stated that Tehran does not strike civilian targets and is investigating reports of possible attacks on non-military targets.
According to the Iranian representative, the country will never allow foreign forces to interfere in the internal affairs of the state.
Journalist Ryan Grimm reported that Iran attacked an American Patriot missile launcher in the United Arab Emirates. He published a photograph he claimed showed damaged and burning American equipment.
It was also reported that an Iranian ballistic missile struck the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
