The global dialogue "China in Spring: China Sharing Its Opportunities with the World" took place in Moscow on March 19. Two hundred representatives of the public and youth from China and Russia participated in the event, which was jointly organized by the China Media Group (CMG), the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation, and the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow.
Shen Haixiong, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and Director and Editor-in-Chief of CMG, delivered a video greeting. Also speaking at the event were Zhang Wei, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Chinese Embassy in Russia; Sergey Shakhrai, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Alexey Maslov, Director of the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Moscow State University; Renat Zakiev, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta; and other guests.
Participants noted that the "two sessions" generated particular interest in Russia. One of their most important results was the review and approval of the key areas of China's 15th Five-Year Development Plan. According to the guests, this plan defines the vector for high-quality economic development in China and opens up new opportunities for deepening practical cooperation between Russia and China. Amidst the profound transformation of the global economy, Russia expects closer coordination of its national development strategies with China's 15th Five-Year Plan. This particularly applies to industrial modernization, humanitarian cooperation, and scientific and technological innovation.
During the event, students from Moscow universities and representatives of Russian youth engaged in a meaningful exchange of views with participants in the dialogue on the topic of the "two sessions."
