Tajikistan's Paralympians won 35 medals at the 3rd International Adaptive Sports Festival "Impulse," which took place in Sochi, Russia, on March 26–27, 2026, among athletes with various disabilities. This was reported by the NIAT Khovar news agency, citing the National Paralympic Committee of Tajikistan.
More than 20 teams took part in the festival, including seven teams from foreign countries, competing in 30 sports.
At the initiative of the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and with the support of the National Paralympic Committee of Tajikistan, the country's Paralympic team, consisting of 34 people, 29 of whom are athletes, was sent to this international event.
It is noted that Tajik athletes with disabilities competed in such disciplines as para-arm wrestling, para-powerlifting, table tennis, darts, checkers, and chess, and won 35 medals, including 19 gold, 10 silver, and 6 bronze.


President of the National Paralympic Committee of Tajikistan, Mahmud Amonzoda, stated that the 35 medals won by Tajik Paralympians at the III International Adaptive Sports Festival "Impulse" are symbolic and represent joyful news, and, on the eve of the 35th anniversary of independence, also represent a new and significant sporting achievement for Tajik Paralympians.
It is worth noting that Tajikistan's Paralympians previously won 22 medals, including 4 gold, 9 silver, and 9 bronze, at the Armwrestling and Para-Armwrestling World Cup in Tashkent, and 4 medals, including 1 gold and 3 silver, at the 5th Asian Junior Para Games in Dubai.
According to the data presented, 21 medals were won in para-arm wrestling, including 13 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze. In para-powerlifting, there were 7 medals, including 4 gold and 3 silver. In darts, athletes won 3 medals—1 silver and 2 bronze. One gold medal was won in chess. Three medals were won in checkers—1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.
