On March 27, 2026, in the city of Shymkent, Republic of Kazakhstan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda took part in and spoke at the Digital Kazakhstan forum.
The forum was attended by representatives from various countries, including heads of government and prime ministers of Central Asian countries and member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, heads of leading technology companies, international organizations, and experts and entrepreneurs in the field of digital technology.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan noted the symbolism of holding the forum during the Navruz celebrations and emphasized that Navruz marks the beginning of a new life cycle, and technological advances open a new chapter in the development of states.


Kokhir Rasulzoda noted Tajikistan's stable position in the development of the digital economy and emphasized that, under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon, the country has declared 2025–2030 the Years of the Digital Economy and Innovation.
The Prime Minister stated that Tajikistan has identified digital transformation as a national priority. He emphasized that, as President Emomali Rahmon has noted, digitalization of the economy is a requirement of the times and a critical factor in development.
It was stated that Tajikistan's initiative at the United Nations level—the adoption of the resolution "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Creating New Opportunities for Sustainable Development in Central Asia"—is seen as a confirmation of the country's policy of promoting modern technologies.


In this context, it was emphasized that, within the framework of this initiative, a Cooperation Program in the Field of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation for 2026–2027 has already been approved in Tajikistan.
Plans to establish a Regional Artificial Intelligence Center in Dushanbe, the activities of the National Council on Artificial Intelligence, the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions in public administration, the development of IT parks, and the training of industry specialists were also discussed.


The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan emphasized the need to expand technological cooperation between countries in the region and create a "Digital Silk Road," proposing to intensify interaction between countries in the areas of experience exchange and personnel training, integration of digital platforms, simplification of cross-border electronic procedures, as well as cooperation in the field of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
In conclusion, confidence was expressed that the results of the forum will contribute to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the region and the strengthening of friendship and fraternal relations between the countries.
