Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf will serve as the chief negotiator in the dialogue with the United States, according to the Iranian news agency ISNA.
According to the agency, Ghalibaf will head the Iranian delegation at the talks on Friday.
The American delegation will reportedly be led by US Vice President J.D. Vance. Other media outlets had previously reported his possible participation.
The agency notes that Tehran's 10-point proposal to end the conflict, in addition to issues of the nuclear program and security in the Middle East, concerns the lifting of direct and secondary sanctions against Iran.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed his willingness to negotiate based on proposals submitted by Tehran and announced he would suspend strikes on Iran for two weeks. Iran and Israel also agreed to suspend strikes.
The US and Iran are expected to hold the first round of talks on April 10 in Islamabad.
