An exhibition titled "Inventors and Innovators in Transport" was held in Dushanbe, where young and emerging engineers presented their developments, according to the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.
The event was organized to engage teenagers and young adults in science, invention, and innovation. Participants presented projects that could be applied not only to transportation but also to tourism, culture, agriculture, and construction. Exhibits included car models reminiscent of the Italian Lamborghini and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The winners of the exhibition received certificates from the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan and cash prizes in the amount of 2,000 somoni.
The exhibition is being held as part of state policy aimed at developing science and technology. In 2022, the National Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence through 2040 was approved, with the goal of ensuring that AI technologies contribute up to 5% of the country's GDP by that date. In 2025, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the role of artificial intelligence in creating new opportunities for sustainable development in Central Asia, initiated by Tajikistan.
