The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, was awarded the Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize.
The Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize award ceremony took place on December 21 at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory of St. Petersburg. During the ceremony, the award was presented to President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, as well as to the heads of state of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.






It is noted that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the heads of neighboring states were awarded this honorary prize in 2025 for their significant contribution to strengthening peace and security in the Central Asian region.
The statement recalls that on March 31, 2025, at the summit of the heads of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, held in Khujand, a historic agreement on the state borders of the three countries was signed, along with the Khujand Declaration of Eternal Friendship. As a result, border issues between the three neighboring states were finally resolved.

It is emphasized that these historical events have comprehensively contributed to ensuring security and stability, sustainable development, and enhancing the international authority of the Central Asian region.
