On December 10, 2025, the 50th meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders was held in Samara, Russian Federation, in a mixed format—in person and via videoconference, the press service of the Organization's Executive Committee reported.
The event was attended by representatives of road, transport and research organizations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, associate members of the council, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, the Executive Committee of the Coordinating Transport Conference of the CIS Member States and the International Association of Transport and Road Workers' Trade Unions.


The meeting was opened by Buri Bachabekovich Karimov, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Workers and Head of the Council Secretariat. Alexander Ogryzov, Advisor to the Department of Economic Cooperation of the CIS Executive Committee, Gennady Bessonov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Customs Union, and Tatyana Berdeneva, Deputy Chair of the International Association of Transport and Road Workers' Trade Unions, addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.
The meeting addressed 12 issues, including the development of integration in the CIS transport sector during the implementation of the first phase of the CIS Economic Development Strategy (2021–2025) and the Action Plan for the implementation of the second phase (2026–2030). Participants also discussed the upcoming launch of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026–2035) and the tasks arising from the Action Plan for its implementation.
The meeting was productive, and appropriate decisions were made on the issues discussed.
As part of the council's events, participants visited the production facilities of Prodmash Plant OJSC, where they learned about the technological processes involved in manufacturing metal structures for road infrastructure.
The next, 51st meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders is scheduled to be held in the second half of 2026 in Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan).
