Today, December 12, 2025, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in his address to the country's parliament, announced a significant increase in life expectancy and population growth.
According to him, life expectancy in Tajikistan has increased by seven years over the past ten years. While it was 70 years in 2015, it will reach 77 years by 2025.
The head of state also noted population growth. Over the past ten years, the country's population has increased by 26 percent, from 8.5 million to 10.7 million.
Emomali Rahmon emphasized that increased life expectancy and population growth reflect the positive dynamics of Tajikistan's socioeconomic development, improvements to the healthcare system, and an improved quality of life for citizens.
He also noted that these indicators demonstrate the effectiveness of state policy in the areas of healthcare, demographic stability, education, and social protection of the population.
