Following Friday prayers, a meeting with citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan and compatriots working and living in Russia was held at the Krasin Cathedral Mosque in Novosibirsk. This was reported by a representative of the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan in Russia.
During the event, migrants were provided with information on the rules of legal residence in the Russian Federation, concluding employment contracts, and observing workplace safety standards. Particular attention was paid to issues of official employment as a crucial tool for protecting migrants' rights, as well as the need to maintain hygiene, maintain health, and prevent infectious diseases.
The provisions of Russian migration legislation were clarified, in particular, Decree No. 1126 of Russian President Vladimir Putin dated December 30, 2024, which was extended until September 10, 2025 and which provides foreign citizens with the opportunity to legalize their stay.
Furthermore, meeting participants were warned about the threats associated with migrants being drawn into radical and terrorist organizations. It was noted that extremist groups actively use social media and internet platforms to spread propaganda and recruit young people. Compatriots were urged to obtain information only from official sources and avoid contact with suspicious entities.
The event was attended by Makhmadi Davlatov, head of the Tajik public organization "Somoniyon" in Novosibirsk, who noted the contribution of Tajik specialists to the development of medicine in the region. According to him, more than 40 Tajik doctors work in Novosibirsk medical institutions.
The organizers also recommended that migrants use their free time productively by learning foreign languages in free courses, visiting the city's cultural institutions, and mastering new professions and improving their skills in educational programs.
The meeting was held in a trusting and constructive atmosphere, featuring lively dialogue and questions from participants. Compatriots were reminded of the opportunity to seek legal advice from the Representative Office.
