The draft Fundamentals of Information Policy was developed in pursuance of paragraph 1.1.4 of the CIS Cooperation Program for Strengthening Border Security at External Borders for 2021–2025.
The need for its preparation is due to new challenges and threats in the information sphere, the active development of digital technologies, their impact on the information infrastructure and environment, as well as the task of ensuring stability and security at the borders.
The adoption of the document will allow CIS states to develop and adjust their information policies in the interests of coordinated border activities and countering modern threats.
