In the capital of Tajikistan, officers of the Internal Affairs Directorate (IAD) for the city of Dushanbe detained two women suspected of using and distributing a strong narcotic substance — methamphetamine — among minors. This was reported by the press service of the IAD of Dushanbe.
As specified, during operational and preventive measures, the department for the prevention of offenses among minors and youth identified and detained Marifat Sharipova and Makhina Sharifbek. In addition to personal use of methamphetamine, they attracted minors to use this dangerous synthetic drug.
Methamphetamine is a class of highly potent synthetic chemicals that cause serious physical and mental disorders. The distribution and use of such substances is especially dangerous for minors and can lead to serious consequences for health and social adaptation.
During the investigation, investigators collected sufficient evidence of the suspects' guilt. They are currently under preliminary arrest.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of involving minors in drug use under Article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, which provides for liability for involving minors in committing antisocial acts. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
