The leadership of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan got acquainted with the organization of work of stationary medical institutions of the city of Dushanbe at night. The Minister of Health Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, his deputies Gafur Mukhsinzoda, Zulfiya Abdusamadzoda and Abdukholik Amirzoda, as well as heads of specialized agencies, services and departments of the central office of the ministry took part in the night round of medical institutions. This was reported by the press service of the department.
During the visits, the ministry representatives studied the sanitary and epidemiological situation in hospitals, the availability of medicines, the technical condition of medical equipment, the process of monitoring patients and the overall quality of medical services provided at night.
Particular attention was paid to direct communication with patients. During the conversations, the department's management was interested in the opinion of citizens on the availability and quality of medical care. According to the patients themselves, a number of institutions have problems with the provision of medicines, technical maintenance of equipment and the promptness of personnel response.
As Minister Jamoliddin Abdullozoda emphasized, concern for the health of citizens occupies a key place in state policy, and in this direction the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is taking consistent measures to improve medical services.
In order to eliminate the identified shortcomings, as well as to improve the efficiency and quality of work at night, the Ministry has given specific instructions to the heads of medical institutions in the capital.
On June 16, a working meeting was held to summarize the results of the night rounds. The event was attended by First Deputy Minister Gafur Mukhsinzoda, Deputy Minister Abdukholik Amirzoda, heads of specialized agencies, heads of departments of the ministry, management of the Health Department of the city of Dushanbe, as well as directors of national and city medical institutions.
During the meeting, reports from working groups on identified deficiencies were heard, an assessment was made of the current state of inpatient care at night, and specific measures to eliminate violations were discussed.
The First Deputy Minister gave a number of instructions to the heads of medical institutions to improve the working conditions of medical personnel, strengthen control over shifts and ensure uninterrupted medical care for the population at night.
The Ministry of Health intends to continue such inspections on an ongoing basis in order to increase the level of public confidence in the healthcare system and further improve the country's medical infrastructure.
