On December 12–13, 2025, the International Folk Art Festival "Suzani Panjakent" will be held to celebrate Panjakent's inclusion in the World Cities of Crafts Register. The city's press service reported this.
The festival will feature a series of events, including the "Suzani Panjakent" exhibition, displays by local and international artists, an awards ceremony, a scientific and theoretical conference, a press conference, and tours of the city's historical sites.



The venue of the events is the Palace of Culture of the city of Penjikent named after Olim Boboev.
The organizers invite all artisans, researchers, folk art enthusiasts, and visitors to the city to participate. The festival aims to promote folk art, strengthen cultural ties, and foster the exchange of experiences between local and international artists and artisans.
The International Festival "Suzani Panjakent" will become an important cultural platform for showcasing traditional art, developing creative initiatives, and preserving the heritage of a city renowned for its handicraft traditions.
