On May 16, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, in Dangara district got acquainted with the process of cultivation and growth of agricultural crops in the production cooperative "Somonjon" and the dehkan farm "Emomi Azam", the press service of the head of state reports.
During the visit to the Emomi Azam farm, it was reported that it was created in 2009 based on the instructions and orders of the Head of State Emomali Rahmon, the total area of its gardens is 70 hectares.
Farmers, using advanced experience and observing agricultural technology, grow cherries on an area of 25 hectares, peaches on 4 hectares, apricots on 2 hectares, and other types of fruit trees adapted to the region.
The workers of the farm in the gardens and gardening farms acquire rich experience in growing and caring for the gardens. Along with offerings to the domestic and foreign markets, they also reserve the products in large quantities in cold storage rooms.
The cherry orchard of the Emomi Azama farm mainly grows early varieties of Burlat and Kordia, which are resistant to the climate of the region and are also suitable for export. Then Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the process of growing and growing agricultural crops in the Somonjon production cooperative.
Farmers of the multi-profile cooperative "Somonjon", observing agricultural rules, are engaged in planting and growing vegetables, melons, grains, industrial crops, orchards and vineyards.
Emomali Rahmon was informed that in the Somonjon production cooperative, wheat is sown on an area of 800 hectares, flaxseed on 15 hectares, barley on 180 hectares, cotton on 190 hectares, vegetables and melons on 52 hectares, and grain corn on 34 hectares, which are growing well.
The head of state got acquainted with the cultivation of fruit trees, including almonds, peaches and prunes, in the gardens of the farm. It was reported that in the Somonjon production cooperative, gardens have been created on an area of more than 480 hectares, of which 180 hectares are apple trees, 75 hectares are almond trees, 100 hectares are plum trees, 12 hectares are nut trees, 6 hectares are vineyards, 6 hectares are pear trees and 3 hectares are cherry trees. The area of intensive gardens in this farm is also gradually increasing.
Emomali Rahmon highly praised the selfless work of agricultural producers.
Here, the head of state visited an exhibition of agricultural products and labor achievements of the region’s forestry sector, where fresh vegetables, melons and fruits, dried fruits, grains and other natural resources were presented.
In the Somonjon farm, Emomali Rahmon drew attention to the cultivation of early onions, which are almost ripe, and re-sown onions. As reported, the expected yield per hectare of early onions is 500 centners. It was also noted that 35 hectares of undeveloped land in this area were irrigated using the drip method and introduced into irrigated agricultural circulation.
The head of state gave the responsible persons useful instructions and orders on compliance with agricultural regulations and modern agribusiness.
