President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali visited the construction site of the National Theater of Tajikistan on Wednesday, the press service of the head of state reported .
Construction of one of the largest cultural sites in the country is underway in the capital of the republic on a site adjacent to the National Museum of Tajikistan and the National Flag Park. As recalled by the presidential administration, the start of the construction of the building was given personally by Emomali Rahmon on March 17, 2015.
During the visit, the head of state got acquainted with the current state of construction work. According to the builders, the work on laying reinforced concrete structures is close to completion, and the overall dynamics of the construction of the facility has been significantly accelerated. It is planned that at this stage, the main construction work will be completed within the next month.
About 500 workers and specialists are involved in the implementation of the project.



According to the project, the National Theatre building will include two underground and five above-ground floors with a total height of 34.5 meters. Construction is being carried out on a site of approximately 3 hectares.
The main hall of the theatre will accommodate up to 2,500 spectators. In addition, there are two additional halls with 1,000 seats each, which will be used for conferences and concerts. The building will also house an orchestra pit, rehearsal rooms, hotel rooms and staff quarters that meet international standards.







The two underground floors will house a parking lot for 250 cars, as well as technical and auxiliary services. The theater will be equipped with modern heating, ventilation, air conditioning and air purification systems. The building will also be equipped with 17 passenger and freight elevators and six escalators.
During his visit to the site, President Emomali Rahmon spoke with workers and specialists, calling on them to ensure high-quality and timely completion of construction work, emphasizing the importance of the project for the cultural life of the country.
