The 10th International Cultural and Educational Forum "Children of the Commonwealth" will be held from July 7 to 16, 2025. For the first time, it will be held in Belarus, in the Zubrenok Children's Center, located on the territory of the Narochansky National Park. This year, the forum will be dedicated to the theme "The 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Memory and Unity of Generations," the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
Delegations of schoolchildren from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will take part in the forum.
The event is organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The forum program will begin at the National Children's Technopark, where children will be told about its work and will be given master classes dedicated to science and innovation.
Every day they will get acquainted with the history, culture and traditions of one of the Commonwealth countries. A rich program, a large number of meetings and excursions have been prepared for the children. At the "Meeting Without Ties", the heads of the ministries of culture, education, sports and tourism, health care, and the National Academy of Sciences will talk about their work.
Forum participants will meet with cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya, visit the Council of the Republic and learn about the work of Belarusian parliamentarians, and visit the National Library.
The program also includes a visit to the iconic Khatyn memorial complex, built on the site of a village burned by the Nazis along with its inhabitants and which has become a world symbol of the countless victims and courage of the Belarusian people in the Great Patriotic War. In addition, schoolchildren will take part in a flower-laying ceremony at the Minsk – Hero City stele.
The children will be able to take part in master classes in public speaking and acting with the participation of Belarusian actors and representatives of the Belarusian media, creative meetings with people's artists, writers, composers, as well as sports competitions, dialogue platforms with Belarusian athletes, intellectual games, educational trainings, music competitions, dance marathons and many other events.
