In the Khatlon region of Tajikistan, a resident of the Farkhor district has been sentenced to administrative detention for 5 days for shooting a dog with a hunting weapon. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Khatlon region
The incident occurred on May 8 of this year near the jamoat building in the village of Farkhor. A video of the incident was only recently distributed on social networks, causing a wide public outcry and numerous complaints from users.
During the investigation it was established that the detainee is 62-year-old Nasruloev Ibodulo Makhmaduloevich, a native and permanent resident of the Farkhor district. He fired a shot from a hunting weapon at a yard dog, as a result of which the dog died.
An administrative case was opened on the fact of the incident. By the decision of the Farkhor District Court, Nasruloev Ibodulo received a punishment in the form of administrative arrest for a period of 5 days.
The reasons why the man shot the dog are not specified in official reports. The Khatlon Region Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that such actions are contrary to the law and public morality.
