On July 11, the working visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Ayni district began with the grand opening of a park and a monument to the People's Poet of Tajikistan Gulnazar Keldi, the press service of the head of state reported.
The construction of this facility is timed to coincide with the worthy celebration of the 35th anniversary of State independence and was carried out within the framework of the cultural policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as a sign of respect for the outstanding personalities of the nation.
The Gulnazar Keldi Square is located on Abuabdullo Rudaki Avenue in the center of the Ayni District; its total area, including auxiliary facilities, is 900 square meters.
The cultural and recreational facility was built taking into account modern architectural and urban planning requirements and is intended for recreation of residents and visitors of the area.
The territory of the park and its surroundings is decorated with ornamental and evergreen plants, landscaped and well-lit. Gazebos, pavilions and other infrastructure elements complement the ensemble, giving the central part of the Aininsky district a special appeal and beauty.
During his inspection of the work completed at this site, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon highly praised the authors for their worthy artistic embodiment of the poet’s image in the sculptural composition.
It was emphasized that in the future this recreation and walking area will also serve as a venue for literary and cultural events.
Emomali Rahmon also highly praised the quality of construction work and noted the significant and beneficial role of Gulnazar Keldi as a patriotic poet in the spiritual and moral education of society.
It should be noted that Ustod Gulnazar is the author of the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan and one of those outstanding personalities whose work will serve as a treasury of modern Tajik literature for current and future generations.
