The meeting of the expert group for the revision and approval of the draft Regulation on international tourist events of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place on July 9, the press service of the Executive Committee of the Organization reports.
Representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the experts finalized and agreed on the document. It was decided to submit it in the established manner for consideration by the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The draft Regulation stipulates that international tourism events of the CIS countries will be held in the form of exhibitions (fairs), competitions, forums, seminars, conferences, including scientific (scientific and practical), educational ones in the field of tourism and hospitality.
Their organizers may be the state authorities in the field of tourism of the Commonwealth member states. They will ensure the holding of International tourism events independently or attract co-organizers for these purposes.
The organizers will form the program of the event, determine the venues for its holding, the categories of participants, the conditions of their participation, and also take measures to disseminate information about it.
The draft Regulation also sets out the procedure for organizing International Tourism Events and participation in them of representatives of CIS countries.
