Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are ready to develop and implement a Roadmap to increase mutual trade volumes and bring the volume of trade turnover to $500 million in the medium term. This was stated on July 7 during a meeting between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavka Zavqizoda and the Minister of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakit Sidikov, the press center of the ministry reported.
The roadmap will include necessary measures related to the export and import of goods of mutual interest, simplification of trade procedures, transportation and transit of goods, digitalization, e-commerce, and the use of economic and trade corridors.
The meeting took place as part of the state visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to Tajikistan.
The current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
