On July 1, a working group led by the Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizom Mirzozoda got acquainted with the progress of work on the construction of new facilities and residential buildings in the Rasht and Tajikabad districts. This was reported by NIAT Khovar with reference to the Committee for Architecture and Construction.
During the familiarization, the need to complete construction work on facilities, including schools and medical institutions, within the established timeframes and with high quality was emphasized. The issue of preparing for the commissioning of new residential premises for the victims was also discussed.
Let us recall that on April 13, an earthquake occurred in Tajikistan. The magnitude at the epicenter, which was located 160 kilometers northeast of Dushanbe and 21 kilometers east of the center of the Rasht region, was 5-6 points, and in Dushanbe – 3 points. As a result of the earthquake in the Rasht region, 34 residential buildings were completely destroyed, 72 houses were partially damaged, another 89 received minor damage, and 65 auxiliary facilities were damaged.
